One of my daughters favourite books is "We're going on a Bear Hunt".
Today when we visited Crank Caverns in Merseyside she wanted to know where the bears were.
We had an enjoyable couple of hours investigating the remains of the disused open cast mine. The landscape was rough and rugged with some interesting scenery too.
The caves themselves are obviously used by teenagers and were sadly full of graffiti and broken bottles which we took care to avoid.
